Welcome to DesignForge ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website designforge.fyi (the "Site") and all associated tools, including our 3D nameplate generators, keychain generators, pet tag generators, cake topper generators, and blog content. By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue your use of the Site.

1. Eligibility

The Site is intended for use by individuals who are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 13, you may not use the Site. If you are between 13 and 18, you may only use the Site with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

DesignForge provides free, web-based tools that allow users to generate custom 3D model files (in STL and 3MF formats) for personal and commercial 3D printing purposes. Our generators produce fully manifold, watertight geometry that is ready for slicing and printing on consumer-grade FDM and SLA 3D printers. The Site also hosts educational articles and guides about 3D printing technology, materials, and techniques.

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use of the Site. Specifically, you agree not to:

4. Intellectual Property and Licensing

Our Content: All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, design templates, geometry generation scripts, and software, is the property of DesignForge and is protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any of our proprietary content without our prior written consent.

Generated Files — Commercial License: When you use our generators to create a 3D model file, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that specific generated file for the purpose of producing physical 3D prints. You are expressly permitted to sell the physical 3D printed objects you produce from these files (for example, on platforms such as Etsy, at craft fairs, or in your own shop).

Digital File Restriction: You are strictly prohibited from selling, sharing, distributing, sublicensing, uploading to file-sharing platforms, or otherwise making available the digital STL or 3MF files generated by our tools. This prohibition applies to all platforms, including but not limited to Etsy (digital downloads), Gumroad, MyMiniFactory, Thingiverse, Printables, Thangs, and Cults3D. Violation of this restriction may result in a DMCA takedown notice and potential legal action.

5. User-Submitted Content

You are solely responsible for the text and names you input into our generators. You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to use all text you enter, and that such text does not infringe upon any third party's copyright, trademark, right of publicity, or other intellectual property rights. You agree not to enter trademarked brand names, copyrighted characters, or offensive language that you do not have authorization to use. We reserve the right to refuse service or block requests that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be inappropriate or infringing.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all associated tools and content are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee that any 3D model generated by our tools will print successfully on your specific hardware or with your specific materials. 3D printing outcomes depend on numerous factors including printer calibration, filament quality, ambient temperature, and slicer settings, all of which are outside our control.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DesignForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Site or its generated files. This includes, without limitation, any damage to your 3D printer, wasted filament, failed prints, or personal injury resulting from the use of our generated files. Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from your use of the Site shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months, which, given that our service is free, is zero dollars ($0.00).

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DesignForge, its operators, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

9. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after any modifications constitutes your binding acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which DesignForge operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
